My Linode has been inaccessible and I logged a support ticket over 18 hours and have gotten no response. Is this normal?

My Linode has been inaccessible and I logged a support ticket over 18 hours ago and have gotten no response. Is this normal? In the past when this has happen I usually got a response and the problem was taken care of right way.

I can log into the Linode console and it looks like my Linode is running. However, I cannot access my pages from the internet nor can I login via putty even using the IP address. The Lish console also hangs.

I'm getting frustrated as users are trying to access my pages and cannot, yet I don't hear from Linode support either.
