How can I migrate my disks from another host to Linode? I also want to create a Golden Image and deploy it to a Linode?

I have an old server in another cloud provider and I would like to migrate to a Linode. I want to create a Golden Image and migrate my disks to a new server at Linode.

I want to start by saying that a full clone migration is not recommended, because low-level system configuration files can be different on different hosting providers. For more information, you can refer to our best practices guide:

You will need to create a Golden Image, that it is an Image with the exact software, settings, and data files you desire for a particular application. Here is a article that goes in more details about Golden Images:
