DNS manager and "server could not be found"

Hello,

I used Linode's DNS Manager to add a domain zone: "siteXYZ.com" with purpose "master". I then updated my registar's record by changing the name servers to NS1.LINODE.COM and NS2.LINODE.COM. I did those operations yesterday. Browsing the IP address returns the right content (Apache works fine) but I am unable to get to that content using siteXYZ.com because "the server could not be found". Maybe I just need to be more patient (last time I changed the name servers for that registar, the propagation was pretty fast though) or maybe I misunderstood and misused the DNS manager. Is there a way to know where the problem is more likely located?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Without knowing the domain in question, it sounds to me as though you're missing the A records to properly point domain.com and www.domain.com to your IP address.

Hello,

I went to the DNSmanager and Add a new A/AAAA Record. Is it normal that the host name is www despite the fact that I entered the full domain name?

Hello,

Let me add that adding the A/AAAA Record has solved the problem. Thanks!
