I'm not entirely sure what's going on here as you didn't provide much context for what you were doing, trying to accomplish, system information, or any services. That said, I Googled the exact phase you posted here and found this post online:

It looks like a file that is associated with a symbolic link got out of whack, either by being overwritten or something of the sort. That post provides commands to address that issue to allow you to move forward.
