I'd like to use Axiom to perform security research and bug bounty hunting. Is this permitted on the Linode platform?

In general, security research and bug bounty hunting is permitted on our platform so long as it abides by our Acceptable Use Policy. You can find a link to our AUP on our Legal & Compliance Center page here:
While this activity is permitted, please ensure that you are authorized to perform testing on the target systems and that you are utilizing the appropriate scan behavior when doing so. Misconfigured scanning can result in Network Transfer overages and may negatively impact the target systems.
Please be mindful that distributed scanning tools such as Axiom have the potential to generate abuse reports if used improperly. Reports of this nature may result in the suspension of services or immediate account cancellation.
