Do I need to shutdown my linode before rebuilding?

Im facing the situations where I need to start over from a fresh install, and I figured I need to rebuild my linode.

Just a quick question, can I rebuild directly without shutting down my linode first, will this cause me a problem in the future?

Other VPS provider inform to shutdown VPS first, while Linode did not explicitly stated it.

I don't believe so, no, I think the platform will shut your VPS down itself before rebuilding.
