.ISO conversion to .GZ ??

Hi,
Can someone help guide me on the best way to upload a Debian_ISO file from 3CX Communications on my node so that I can set up my PBX phone system? The issue is that I can't upload the ISO file that 3CX has provided to me which has the Linux OS and most of the settings already set up on it. Linode doesn't accept ISO files..it needs to be tar or gz I think. I use windows and I haven't been able to locate a clear way to take the ISO file and turn it into one of the accepted version for Linode. Any help with instructions (if possible…step by step please) would be most appreciated so I can get this up and running.
Thanks,
Truckin

@Truckin - I know we already discussed this in IRC, but I wanted to put a response here in case someone else does some searching for a similar issue. Please feel free to add anything I might've missed about your process.

The solution that worked in this case was to use 7-Zip for Windows to convert the ISO into an IMG file. Then we compressed the image by browsing to the image's directory and using the right-click context menu to compress with GZip.

From there, the .GZ file was able to be uploaded for use with the Cloud Manager.

Hey Brian,

So when I did this and uploaded the .gz file the machine did not run and had errors. So I can only assume that the process did not "Play" well with Linode's node or did I miss something?

When I logged into the server via the console it just had a whole list of errors and you couldn't do anything…..could not even login to root….

I just don't understand why Linode or really any of the competitors won't allow ISO files.
