[Feature Request] Freeze backup
The moment you need the backup, it's panic.
Restoring and figuring out why the backup doesn't work and stops in emergency mode.
Once you figured out what's wrong I was half a day further.
By that time the latest backup was overwritten by the one I was working on.
An option to freeze the backup once you initiate a restore.
Moving the most recent backup to the snapshot would an option.
Now I had to use a 2 days old backup, anyway I was glad the backup saved the day.

I can certainly see how this would be helpful for customers to be empowered to do this. With that in mind, I've added this request to our internal feature tracker for future consideration. Thanks for posting this here and providing such a great use-case for a feature like this.
While I wouldn't have an ETA on when or if that would be made available to you, I can say that Support has the ability to pause backups from our end if you'd like. This would effectively stop future backup attempts while making the previous backups available for restoring.
