Linode market and EC2

For some reason I never knew about Amazon's S3 and EC2 until today. I felt stupid.. the concept is so great, I would think I would have read about this. I spent a few hours researching the topics, but I haven't found a way to use either that makes sense for me yet.

I come to see what other people think of this. I use to have a linode, and had a good time with my linode, but I outgrew it too quickly. Maybe someday I'll have a linode again.

So, is Linode outsourcing to EC2? :)

Whenever something seems too good to be true little alarms go off in the back of my head. I know in the case of the Sun Grid a cost/benefit analysis would indicate purchasing rather than renting from them due to their current rate structure, which may be why it appears to be on the slow train to nowheresville. Did you check out the Sun Grid?
