How should I best setup linode to work with cloudflare?
Here are the steps I have taken:
- I registered a custom domain name at Namecheap.
- I set Namecheap nameservers to Cloudflare.
- Now Cloudflare is asking me to input DNS entries.
I next plan to run the Linode marketplace Wordpress install. Will that then give me the IP address that I need to enter the DNS entries on Cloudflare?
Any other steps that I will need to ensure the setup is correct?
Thanks!
By the way, I did look up several Linode tutorials. They all seemed to point me to setting nameservers directly - such as to ns1.linode.com . I couldn't find that means as an option on Cloudflare.

Hi!
When you follow our tutorial on setting up Cloudflare, one of the steps is to add your site. This step will prompt Cloudflare to run a DNS query to get the appropriate DNS records for your domain.
The DNS records that Cloudflare asks you to enter manually are any that it might have missed when running the query, such as custom subdomains. If you don't have any to add, just make sure that the DNS records that Cloudflare returned from the query are correct, and that part should be complete.
As for the name servers, you'll need to configure Cloudflare's name servers at your registrar, as you've mentioned you've done.

The Linode name servers are what you'll have set in our DNS Manager. The Cloudflare name servers are those you'd need to set up at your registrar.
