Linode pricing

Hi there,

I have a question regarding Linode pricing.

Let's say for example I choose a Linode 8GB plan which is $40 per month and $0.06 per hour

Let's say then I only use it for 24 hours in the whole month, will I then be charged only per hour that the instance is online?

So to reiterate, will I then be charged 24 hours x $0.06 or the full $40 and the end of the month?

Also, am I charged for having the instance even if it's offline? Say I never use it in one month, I assume there would be no charge as there isn't any uptime. Correct me if I'm wrong
