How do I connect my server-side code to Linode?

Hi, so I've been developing a web app locally with the Actix Web Framework. I have all the server-side and client-side code ready to go. I've also bought a domain and connected that to Linode. So for the next step, how exactly do I transition from localhost to internet hosting? Do I download visual studio code and run the program from the VPS? I must be missing something because I can't figure out how to progress.
