How long does it take for namecheap domain to connect to linode?

I have been waiting for about 8 hours and the domain I bought at namecheap hasn't still connected to my linode server. Is this weird?

Hi @alphadevv - DNS Changes can take a long time and changing nameservers takes the longest. Generally it's complete within a few hours but it can take up to 48 for nameserver changes. I'd recommend checking back tomorrow and if it's still not working as expected then double check the nameservers and the domain's DNS Zone in our DNS Manager.

Okay thanks for the feedback, I am still waiting for the domain name to connect to my linode

Hello, Please I got an email from namecheap, after I filled a complaint to them that the domain name I bought from them is not pointing to my linode. And they checked their system and responded with an email stating that it has been pointed successfully to the nameservers. They also said I should get in touch with my hosting provider with the request to add the domaain to my hosting account with them.

Hi again! Have you added the domain in our DNS Manager already? If so, or if you're not sure, feel free to open a ticket and we'll be happy to take a look from our end.

Hi, the issue has been fixed. But I have another complaint. Now I am able to access my site via my domain name. But I can only do this on my pc. I have been trying to access the site using my iphone but it is saying 'Server can't be reached'. please how do i resolve this.

I'm glad to hear it's fixed! Once the DNS is in place it will take some time for servers worldwide to pick up on the new DNS info. It can take up to 48 hours in some cases but generally only takes a few hours on average.
