Mailing port without DNS is it possible?
I just created my first Linode and I can’t send emails. Why? (Mailing ports 25, 465, and 587 blocked by default)

Yes, it's possible without DNS but you have to use an IP addresses everywhere. I don't know about you but
seems a lot more intuitive than
stevewi@1.2.3.4
or the ever-popular

Can you please pin point to the right documentation for using linode without any domain name for my email application
@sudhir While it is possible to have a mail server without a domain, it is not recommended. The below Community Questions post explains the problems you may encounter sending mail without DNS.
If you're new to Linode, the link stevewi shared explains that you'll need to open a Support ticket to request SMTP port restrictions.

I can't imagine what kind of difficulty/problems this proposition would present! I use postfix(1). Trying to setup postfix(1) and getting it work properly without a domain name would be worse than Nightmare on Elm St. IMHO!
As a Linode customer, you get access to Linode's DNS manager…that makes the process considerably easier. If you don't care about in-/out-bound mail, you can dispense with SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
Domain names are easy to acquire and manage and DNS is not that hard to set up.
