Can I run Zulip on my Linode?

Linode Staff

I want to run a Zulip chat server on Linode. What would be the best plan for this? I'm planning a deployment of about 5 to 50 users.

You should be able to run Zulip on your Linode without any issue. I've checked Zulip's requirements, and the recommendation is that you have at least 2 GB or RAM with at least 10GB of disk space for less than 100 users. Beyond that, you would need 4GB of RAM and a second CPU. Based on your requirements, I would say that the Linode 2GB plan should work just fine. If you go over 100 users someday, you'll want to consider stepping up to the 4GB plan, which also provides 2 CPUs. You can find all of our plans on our pricing page.
