Shadowsock Connection

I deployed Shadowsocks from the marketplace and noted down the I.P. Now on the Shadowsock client, I gave the I.P, port=8000, the password, and ecryption=aes-256-cfb.

Now, if I ping the server's I.P on the client-side, I get the response but if I check my I.P address, it isn't the same as the server's I.P.

So, what setting should I change to make it work?
