ram upgradation

my laptop name is toshiba satellite c665- p5012.. and current ram is 2gb ddr3 1066 mhz, is it compatible with 4gb ddr3 1600 mhz????.. don't know about the singl channel or dual channel..

recently i have switched to Ubuntu 20.04 from windows 8.1, i am looking to upgrade the the ram .. i have already used crucial.com(mentioned in your link)which suggests me ddr3 4gb 1600 mhz ram.. i am just worried about the frequency.. thanks for your reply
