How do I edit the distribution listed for a Linode in the Cloud Manager?

Under the title of my Linode, it lists the OS version, and the plan and specs for my Linode. I'd like to change/remove the OS version listed there. How do I do that?

The version listed underneath your Linode's title in its Dashboard is the version you originally deployed with. This information is only present when deploying from a Linode-supplied image, and can't be edited or deleted. If you deploy an image from another source (e.g. your distribution's officially hosted URL, or your own custom image) by following our guide on custom installations, then then that field will stay blank.
