Host 56, where are you?

Not responding to ping, ssh, lish, bribes of pizza and beer. What happened?

I already know I don't have a life on Friday night. Don't take my Linode! :-)

Looks like it keeps rebooting with this error:

xen_linode_boot: failed to get domid
xen_linode_boot: warning - li-network might not have ran

That happens sometimes when the Xen nodes come up. Issue a reboot and it should be okay. Mine's up.

I have rebooted it several times.. each time, it sits there powered up for about 2 minutes, then WHAM.. its powered off and that System message about the reboot is in the queue.

well I just can't seem to get a domid tonight. I guess that means I better go to bed.

Hang on, the host's rebooting.

Yay! Its alive! I hope those tornadoes missed caker today,

Ooh, look, a host! I have domid, life is good. Or at least, I have domid. Actually, life is pretty good right now, come to think of it. And no tornadoes here in Oregon. Asura, which bit are you in?

Mine's up too, except that I'm connected to a node that's not mine. Which is, to say the least, weird.

So is it anything like walking into a parking lot full of cars and getting into one that's the same make and model and belongs to someone else entirely? Yikes!

I suppose it is. I just hope my car / node doesn't start for somebody else!

I'm up here in Stumptown.

Well, I surrender. If I wasn't running email for so many people, I'd stick around, but I'll have to come back once Xen is a little more settled.

I wonder if there's anybody who can set up a migration on the weekend…

ah, so that's why I come home from campign and it's powered off.

hmmmmm nice mesage here:

Well, you did request to be part of the Xen beta.

Let me clarify: I'm not complaining. If that looked like a complaint, then I'm sorry; it wasn't.

It's just that I thought I could stick around for the beta, but it turns out I can't, that's all. Xen's going to be great, but the kinks will have to be worked out by people who have a little more latitude with their Linodes.

@Xan:

Well, you did request to be part of the Xen beta.

Its been acting more like Xen Alpha lately.
