Do you have any plans to resolve the problem, and if so when will that happen?

The exact cause of the kernel panic is unknown, but engineers at Intel who work with Linux kernel developers have known of the problem and have been trying to figure it out for several months. In the meantime, Linode is exploring options for replacing the effected CPUs with known-good revisions, or outright replacing those host machines.

I've just signed up with Linode and have been allocated to host 40, which I notice has suffered a kernel panic 8 times in the last 3 months. This frequency of unscheduled reboots (it works out at about once every 11 days
I've been keeping track of this and Host 40 has actually gone away 9 times in the past 2 months. It's not always posted in the forum. Here are the dates:
