400 errors when logging in on Chrome from Windows 10

I'm getting an error when attempting to login from Google Chrome on Windows 10.

  • Version 76.0.3809.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)

The error states "400 DOH! Invalid redirect URI".

It has happened numerous times over the last few days since I signed up for Linode, but it will occasionally work.

I've never had this error with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

  • Microsoft Edge 44.17763.1.0
  • Microsoft EdgeHTML 18.17763

Or from Chrome on Ubuntu 18.04

  • Version 76.0.3809.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Although, I've only attempted to login from Chrome on Ubuntu a couple of times.

I can easily work around the issue through another browser, but Chrome on Windows is my goto, so it is rather annoying having to switch back and forth to access all my bookmarks while using Linode.

Sorry to hear that you have been having trouble logging in with Chrome when using Windows 10, I can definitely understand how having this happen even a few times could be pretty frustrating.

I attempted to replicate the error you've been seeing by setting up a fresh installation of Chrome Version 76.0.3809.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows 10, followed by logging in from linode.com into both the Cloud Manager and the Classic Manager. I was able to log in successfully every time without any trouble, which makes me think that you may be able to resolve this by switching off any extensions such as adblock, as well as clearing your cache and restarting Chrome.

Please let us know if you are still having trouble with this after trying out my suggestions, along with letting us know if these methods were successful.

I disabled adblock for the linode domain and I logged in with no problems, I probably should have thought of that. Cheers!
