Connecting a website
How do I connect a website that is owned by someone else? I am not sure if I signed up for the right service. I was looking for a VPS to secure another website/platform that I am using.

Generally, it's not possible to administrate a website if someone else controls it. If you control a website on another platform, then you could certainly set up a reverse proxy on a Linode.
That being said, if all you need is a reverse proxy service then Cloudflare may be a better fit for your needs.
