Exception on Linode Creation

Hey there,

Could you provide some more information about when you saw this error, from which manager, and in which browser? It's possible that your local connection was experiencing some latency and was slow to load.

We've seen this resolve without troubleshooting for brand new accounts connecting to the Manager for the first time on slow connections.

It would also be helpful to know if your account is brand new of if you've been a user for some time. Please let us know if you continue having this issue with more information about how it's manifesting for you.

Hi! I'm a brand new user accessing the internet from a coffee shop.

This is the URL I am loading in my Firefox 68.0.1:

I see this text (under a red circle with an exclamation point in the center):

"There was an issue loading Linode creation options."

How can I post screen shots to this chat?

Ping times to routers between my laptop and duckduckgo.com are around 35 milliseconds.

There's a guy sitting next to me having a video conference.

When I open a developer console for the browser tab, I see this:

"Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://clientstream.launchdarkly.com/eval/5cd5be32283709081fd70fbc/eyJrZXkiOiJhbm9ueW1vdXMiLCJhbm9ueW1vdXMiOnRydWV9. (Reason: CORS request did not succeed)."

That seems like it might be relevant.

Ohh…. holy moly, I just got an email from linode saying my account has been activated…

Now I don't see the error, instead I see a bunch of linux distributions.

So, you can close this, As Far As I Am Concerned.

Hi @zancas - You've figured this out already but I just wanted to confirm for you that the error you were seeing was due to your account not yet being fully activated.
