Backups failing
Anybody else having issues with their backups failing?
I've had repeated issues with failing backups in the Frankfurt/Germany DC. Worst thing is that while a ticket gets automatically opened when the backups fail, that ticket sits there for days without anyone from support doing anything about it.
I followed up on the latest ticket and have yet still to get anyone from support to reply and backups are still failing. And status.linode.com says everything including backups is "operational".
This is now the second time this is happening after similar issues in February. The last time support admitted to the ticket "falling through the cracks" and they gave me a $10 credit. But I'm starting to lose confidence here, it feels like this is becoming a systemic issue.

@tomatic - I was able to locate your account and we are addressing your latest backup failure through the ticket you're referencing.

This is not ideal, for sure, so we appreciate your feedback here. I've passed on your concern to our Backup admins team to review further.

Generally our status page is reserved for failures/outages that are affecting an entire data center. Otherwise, in situations like this where it's an isolated backup failure, we do our best to communicate via tickets.

I can understand your concern here, and wanted to let you know that our backups team and engineers are actively looking into this issue.
I'm not sure my issue is related to this one (my linode is in Frankfurt too), but today i have tried to restore the backup and the process is hanging at 75 percent.
