Dropbox on Linode syncs what?

The Dropbox-on-Linode documentation is rather skimpy:

https://www.linode.com/docs/applications/cloud-storage/dropbox/

In particular, it does not state whether any files from Dropbox are downloaded to the server by default; and if not, how to specify files or directories to download to the server.

We appreciate the feedback and have asked for the documentation to be reviewed and updated on your behalf.

That guide will connect your server to an existing dropbox account so that files created on the server are made available to the account. It will also sync your entire dropbox directory to your account.

You are able to manage the files and folders that excluded from your syncing using the CLI by adding folders or directories to the exclude list. We recommend carefully reviewing the man page to understand the commands involved in doing so.
