IP swap question

Hi,

If I do an IP swap between to linodes is there anything problematic about switching back if I need to?

Swapping an IP address between Linodes can be easily reversed if it did not have the desired effect you were looking for.

Keep in mind - swapping IP addresses is only possible if you have two Linodes that are in the same data center.

Once you successfully swap an IP address you must update any static IP configurations or turn Network Helper on and perform a reboot. If you have not assigned a static IP, Network Helper is on by default and should automatically configure the necessary files with the new address.

You can find the "Swapping IP Addresses" guide here.
