Can I route added IPv6 pools to multiple Linodes in the same data center?

I am hoping to share a /64 IPv6 pool across multiple Linodes in the same data center. Am I able to do this?

Hey there! We are able to apply one of three different pools to a Linode. A /64 pool and a /56 pool are routed through an individual Linode's public IP address and therefore cannot be shared between Linodes in the same data center. That being said, a /116 pool which we do offer can be shared by multiple Linodes in the data center. I was just able to confirm this by setting one up on my account.

Typically for /56 pools and /116 pools we require technical justification before assigning them to a customer. A /64 pool, however, does not require justification.

If you would like a /116 pool to share across multiple Linodes in the same data center, feel free to open up a Support Ticket either through Linode Manager or through Cloud Manager.

Once you have an IPv6 pool added to your Linode or your account you can configure it on the Linode by following the Static Networking Guide and disabling Network Helper. To share a /116 pool you just need to statically assign the individual IPv6 addresses from the pool to the individual Linodes as you need. Hope this helps!
