How Do I Set Up a Mail Server?

Linode Staff

I'm looking to use my Linode as a mail server but I'm not sure how to set this up. Could someone assist me and point me in the right direction please?

There is a guide on our documentation page in regards to running a mail server on a Linode. If you are using our DNS Manager, you can update the MX, SPF, and PTR records for your domain that's needed for mail services. The following links will assist with setting up these services.

I've personally installed and use Sendmail for my Linode. While it took me some time to get things fully working, I used the following links for assistance with setting this up on my Linode.
