Restoring a deleted Linode

Linode Staff

Are Linodes that are deleted by mistake or for non-payment able to be restored?

Anytime a Linode is deleted by mistake or due to non payment, an image is saved automatically for a short period of time for you to restore.

To deploy from any recently deleted image, create a new Linode then navigate to the Linode's Dashboard and press the "Deploy an Image" link. This will bring you to the "Deploy" page, where you can choose the image dropdown and all the way at the bottom are recently deleted disks you can restore from.

Our guide on Linodes Images provides a bit more information that may come in handy.

I see that Ashley's post points to our guide covering Images in our Classic Manager. We also have Linode Images - Deploy From A Saved Image for our new Cloud Manager.
