Help with installing steamcmd

Hello

I know how to install steamcmd on a clean install but i have a website and CWP control panel installed and when steamcmd is installing updates it comes back with Failed to apply update, reverting…
And Fatal Error: failed to load steamconsole.so

i have disabled the firewall but that didnt change any thing.

Have someone heard about this before and know how i can fix it?

and no i wont rebuild my linode.

I don't know much about running steamcmd but I would recommend trying to run it on it's own server rather than trying to run it together with your web server.

Also, I wouldn't disable your firewall either, but rather find out which ports are required to be open.
