How do I boot from GPT disk with GRUB2?

As far as I know GRUB 2 can boot from GPT drive on BIOS config (with BBP). How can I do this in Linode setting? I'm currently stuck with "Booting from ROM. Welcome to GRUB!" screen with "error: variable 'prefix' isn't set" message below. Can't find anything in Linode's guides in this regard. Thanks a lot for your advice!

Well, ended up with "Direct disk" boot option and GPT disk with GRUB installed on BBP. Works like charm though it would be really nice to have UEFI instead. Hope it's coming.
