Wordpress stackscript broken for Ubuntu. Did it work for you?

I followed the directions exactly for deploying a web server using the Wordpress stackscript by Linode with Ubuntu for the distro option. The ubuntu server was setup, but no LAMP or wordpress.

After the initial boot I logged in and got the message that the stackscript was still running. This message was still there after 1 hour, more than enough time to do the job. After a reboot it said the stackscript was finished.

Also, the stackscript only gives you the option to use ubuntu LTS 14.04, an old LTS release. Why not 16 or 18? I mean, 16 at the very least, right?
