Which linode for forums
I am looking to create a discussion forum, and would like help deciding which linode is best for me, and also take suggestions on forum software.
I imagine it would be low traffic, in my wildest dreams a few hundred visits a day to read. No images, at least not regularly, just a bunch of text posts. A few posts a day (5 max maybe, probably 2-3 average) makes sense after a possible initial surge, but each post might get 10 to 20 replies. The forum itself would be in the hierarchical style.
Which linode would be best for me, or perhaps, which should i start with? And if you have any suggestions, which forum software do you think is best?

As far what server to use, it’s going to be based on what the forum’s software requirements are. You’re going to want to know if they list the minimal memory requirements (sometimes they don’t)
I haven’t run any forum software, but my general advice is, look for the latest stable release development dates. If the stable release date has been a year or more ago and there’s not much activity on say Github, it’s probably not being maintained.
From there I’d start with the smallest plan and test that out. See how much memory you’re using on average.
