sftp won't start

Ok, I can't get sftp to connect to my server. Does anyone have any ideas of fixing it?

What does it say? Does it give you an error message? Does ssh work ok?

Do you have the line 'Subsystem sftp /usr/lib/misc/sftp-server' in your /etc/ssh/sshd_config?

HTH,

Andrew

Doesn't give a error message, but ssh works.

When i try to connect it says connection timed out

If ssh works then it definitely sounds like a configuration problem of your ssh daemon to me. Have you got the line I mentioned in your sshd_config file?

Andrew

Odd, it seems to be working now. I haven't done anything to it. It just started working. I'm going to try to find a log file, and see if i can find a error. Thanks for all your help :)
