what is the dir to rc startup script

In Debian: /etc/init.d/

In Slackware: /etc/rc.d/

And I think in RedHat they're also under /etc/init.d/ - but I'm not sure on that one.

It's /etc/init.d/ under Gentoo as well, btw.

In Gentoo, it's called local.start in /etc/conf.d
