Platform manager and proxies

Hi,

Will I be able to access the Linode platform manager through a proxy server to look after my vps? My work network is very restrictive, only proxying http/https through the standard ports. I am intending on setting up webmin or some other site management tool once I get onto the box but it would be useful to know whether I could do the basics without having to wait until I get home. I may try some https tunnelling setup to allow me to get an ssh session from work too.

Thanks,

John

Hello John,

As long as you can do http and https from your work network, you'll be able to access the LPM. However, you will need ssh access to log into your Linode and install webmin.

Chris,

Thanks for the prompt response. I'll be able to ssh in from home anyway without any problems. Looking forward to getting started :)

Cheers,

John
