DOS attack

Is there any protection from DOS attacks in regards to being billed for network traffic?

If someone launches a ping flood, will I have to pay for the traffic?

Is there alerts once your allocated monthly usage has been reached?

Yes, I terminate your account. Seriously, though. I have asked customers to leave when they get DDoS'ed often. I must do this, since typically people who attrack DDoS attacks aren't the type of customers I want, nor the type of customers other Linode members want as their neighbors, since large attacks usually affect everyone.

Yes.

No – you're required to monitor the network usage yourself, however, check out this thread.
