Configure postfix/SPF records? Postfix not working.
I pointed a subdomain (box1.mydomain.com) at my linode IP. Ubuntu 16.04. LAMP stack installed, obviously. Virtualmin installed. I installed sendmail on accident, then purged it.
The migration of the site contents and database went well, but I can't seem to figure out how to get outbound email working via postfix.
My hosts file is
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.1.1 box1.mydomain.com box1
linode IP box1.mydomain.com
linode IP website1.com
I installed postfix as per a guide on digital ocean for outbound wordpress email.
That is the last entry into mail.log after I try to send an email with echo "This is the body of the email" | mail -s "This is the subject line"
Oct 31 05:03:54 box1 sm-mta[30767]: v9V3mlG6025829: to=<
I am assuming it might have something to do with SPF records? Anybody know how to configure a working SPF record for this linode box?
Here is my postfix config
