Clarification on account termination policies

From http://www.linode.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=982: > I apologize for the inconvenience and will not hesitate to eliminate troublesome Linode members from our community in the future. While I realize the TOS provides for Linode to terminate anyone at any time for any reason without warning, can I ask what the user was doing to get terminated? I'm sure you were just making a quick status post (which we all appreciate) but upon reading your message I started to wonder what would happen if I was randomly selected by a script kiddie on IRC for a DOS attack, or if someone decided they don't like the web sites I'm hosting? TIA.

I was wondering the same thing… I'm guessing the linode user in question had somehow done something to attract the DoS attack? Just curious. I know the chances of mine being targetted are small, but you never really know. :)

Suffice to say there was a pattern (or profile) of activity that caused this account to be terminated.
