What should i put in Reverse DNS and questions about IPV6

Hi,

Currently i am configuring my Reverse DNS. There is already an entry like li398493.members.linode.com. Should i change it?

And if change it should i use www.mysite.com or mysite.com? I redirected my site to use www from webserver i prefer the www.mysite.com.

On top of my IPv4 IP, Linode gives me an IPv6 address also. Why do we have two IPs? What uses can IPV6 suppy to me? Because if use it i should use it everywhere i guess. Like i must have an IPTABLES for both IPv4 and IPv6. Is there an advantage to use IPv6?

You should set reverse DNS to be whatever the fully-qualified domain name (FQDN) of the Linode is.

You should use both IPv6 and IPv4 whenever possible. IPv6 is the newer, more secure, version of IPv4 and will be the future of the Internet. You want to use both to support future users connecting to your website as well as users with older devices/Internet connections.
