Where is apxs?

Hi all,

I'm a new linode user here… using the linod 64 (redhat/small distro).

I'm trying to build an extension module for apache but can't find apxs. Is it because I'm using the small distro of redhat that it wasn't built and ready?

I've looked at the source files for apache 1.3.29 and see that there is a /src/support/apxs.pl file but it looks like it needs to be built with some replacement variables.

If I can't find a compiled version of apxs how would I compile it myself (I'm not a perl user)?

Thanks,

Tracy

I think its part of the apache-devel package.

RH 9 comes with Apache 2. I have rpms for Apache 1.3.29 on RH 9 if you want them. RH only supply them up to 1.3.27 but a helpful Linode user here created 1.3.29's for me.
